Class of 2020
August 21, 2020. The author of this blog is graduating. Kudos
!!!! And I am pretty sure that many of you must have graduated or would be
graduating soon or still studying in school. I don’t care!
But the big question is what’s the future after this corona graduation?
This class of 2020 is the most unique batch that many students have not even
imagined or will ever witness such thing. Just imagine yourself one year back
and fantasizing “Wish we could graduate just by sitting at home”, “Why can’t we
give exams from home? Why do have to get our asses to the examination hall?” etc
etc….

I don’t know who the hell thought like that but I pray
whosoever had thoughts like this deserve a good hell. (pun intented)
Hurray… Here it is, COVID-19 to fulfil all your fantasise.
Now enjoy
Okay so, now let’s get serious
And here comes the important question - What after this Corona Graduation? What will happen to class of 2020? Will we get jobs after Corona? There are many questions like pounding all over the internet.
(Meme for no reason) 👇
1. Placements / Employment
Many students must be wondering after completing their graduation
about their placements. The question which every student seeking answer for.
But how this process will cope up with this ongoing pandemic? There are many
explanations for this in different context like for engineering students if
they belong to IT field, there are many chances they could get placement or in
simple language if I have to explain – all the courses oriented towards IT have
higher chances to get placements because of the accessibility of their work. Where
as any job which require physical presence have low chances, as you all know how
companies are trying to reduce the number of employees to maintain a physical distance
in the form of job cuts and unpaid leaves.
2. Higher Studies
If students are planning for higher studies there is quite an uncertainty
about it but not for long. Education institutions are moving towards e-classes
but the admission process is still stuck in the middle because of the
confusion over the conduction of entrance examinations and especially in public
universities. Once government takes decision over the conduction of entrance
examinations, hopefully things will get on track then and students will able to
take admissions.
The recent controversy on the conduction of JEE and NEET examination is
catching up fire as eve Supreme Court of India has asked to conduct the
entrance exams. It definitely endangers the lives of students although there are
few guidelines to conduct the exam keeping in mind of COVID-19 effects.
3. Studying Abroad
Universities abroad are running
in full pace except the physical classes as they are now being replaced by
online but admission procedure running on time in all of the major universities
abroad. So, if someone is thinking to study abroad, they can definitely pursue
for it. But here is the catch, it could take some time to physically go to
abroad universities as international flights are restricted in many countries.
Every explanation or every answer stands uncertain about the
future because situation is evolving day by day. Hence, we cannot say much
about all these things and cannot predict anything as of now. It depends on the
demography and area to area situation.
Thank you for your patience.
